This remarkable piece is a French Louis Philippe commode dating from the early-to-mid 1800's. It features figured walnut veneer, and has elegant proportions, standing at 39"h x 48"w.
The commode features a "secret" drawer concealed in the cornice, and an original hand-chiseled white Carrara marble top. Below, three additional drawers with hand dovetailed joinery, offer plenty of storage. The commode rests on scrolled swan style feet, a rare and special feature that we never seen before. Finely detailed cast bronze escutcheon plates and drawer pulls add a touch of sparkle.
