19th C Antique Blue Folk Painted Hungarian Pine Bench

Dating from the late 1800's, this European bench was crafted from pine, and features a rich blue finish with original folk painted floral motifs. With a completely authentic painted finish, you'll never find another one just like it.
This bench traces its roots to the region that was formerly the Austrian Empire, when the Habsburg Monarchy ruled much of present day Austria, Romania, Hungary, and the Czech Republic. Historically in the small villages of this region, the family gathering spot during temperate months was on a wide porch or veranda where this bench would have been located.
