This remarkable piece is a 19th century Biedermeier chest on chest or highboy dresser. Crafted in Denmark in the mid-1800's, it features seven graduated drawers with hand-dovetailed construction, and rests on traditional Danish-style flattened bun feet (with a pair of simple block feet in the back). The most charming canted top is the finishing element to this chest of drawers, and reminds us of a gentleman's top hat!

The drawer fronts feature burled walnut veneer with inset ebonized banding. Original shield shaped escutcheon plates are all present, and add just the right amount of sparkle. This chest of drawers separates into three pieces for an easy move, and even comes with a skeleton key.

Use this in a bedroom, where you can enjoy the ample drawer space. Or place it in an entry or hallway so that your guests can admire all of it's authentic charm.

Dimensions: 40.5”w x 20.25”d x 63.5”h
