19th C English Pine Chapel Bench #1
This lovely and rustic piece is a 19th century English pine chapel bench. Dating from the late 1800's, this bench has been crafted from English pine, and is presented in its original finish. Historically, this would have served as a chapel bench in a rural English church. We adore the rustic charm and authentic patina this piece brings to a space.
We have a matching pair available (see our other listings), though this listing is for a single bench. Endlessly usable, we would place this charming bench at a farmhouse trestle table, or in a mudroom, or lining a hallway.
Dimensions: 86ʺW × 15ʺD × 34.5ʺH
Condition: Scratches, nicks, dents, bits of white paint. A few areas where there are bits missing (as shown in photos). Original dark brown painted finish has worn in many areas, revealing the lovely English pine below. Worn areas have been treated with a wax finish to smooth and preserve. Strong, sturdy, and ready to use. This bench has all of the good kind of charm and patina.
Shipping: This piece includes complimentary shipping (within the 48 contiguous United States). Most pieces arrive within 3 weeks. Find out more about our shipping policies and timeline here.
