19th Century French Provincial Walnut Sideboard, Buffet
This gorgeous piece is a Louis XV French Provincial sideboard, dating from the late 1700's. Crafted from French walnut in the countryside of the Provençal region, it perfectly melds rustic with refined, and features some of the most gorgeous original drawer pulls and escutcheon plates we've come across. Note the detailed wood inlays with columnar motif between the pair of cabinet doors, and a Greek urn motif in the serpentine skirt.
This 3-over-2 style piece has 3 hand dovetailed drawers above, and two cabinet doors below, which open to reveal ample storage space. This sideboard comes with two original skeleton keys.
This timeless piece could serve in so many different capacities, from a Dining room sideboard, to a storage cabinet in a Home Office or Living room, to a media console in a Family room. Wherever you place it, this piece will always be in style.
