This lovely piece is a French Louis Philippe commode dating from approximately 1830-1848. It features beautifully book-matched walnut veneer, and an original Sainte Anne marble top. There's a large drawer concealed in the cornice (just below the marble top). Below, three additional drawers with hand-dovetailed joinery offer plenty of storage for your most special possessions.

The commode rests on bracket feet, and includes three original skeleton keys. This lovely chest of drawers would be a statement-making piece in an entryway, and would be equally graceful in a bedroom, with ample drawer space for storing clothing or bed linens.

Dimensions: 20.5”d x 48.5”w x 34.75”h

Condition: Minor nicks / scratches to the veneer. Marble top has previous crack (shown in photos) and was repaired by affixing marble to the commode (marble top does not come off). Overall a lovely piece in good antique condition.
