Antique Hand-Painted Hungarian Pine Armoire
A once in a lifetime find. This marvelous piece is a 19th century pine armoire, with original hand painted ornamentation. Crafted from pine and given as a marriage or dowry gift, this soft grey wardrobe is from present day Hungary, and is dated 1886. Charming folk painted imagery such as tulips, berries, a pair of birds, and other floral motifs are all original to the piece, and in beautiful condition. You can still make out the name of the young woman whom this wardrobe was gifted to: Francsiska Molnar.
Open the pair of doors to reveal ample storage space for whatever you may need. On the right side there are three removable shelves, with a special pull-out drawer for your most prized possessions. On the left there's an open area and a row of pegs along the top for hanging.
